The mobility in Romania has been completed.
The Romania/Bucharest mobility phase of the European Union Erasmus+ Project "Nature-Based Interactive Learning" has been completed. The mobility aimed to examine nature-based learning approaches in early childhood education, observe best practices on-site, and facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experience among participating countries. Specifically, the activity focused on: Examining interactive learning environments with nature, The pedagogical use of outdoor learning environments, Observing sustainable education practices, and Strengthening intercultural interaction.
During the mobility, the following activities were carried out: Observing classroom and outdoor learning environments at the host institution, Workshops on nature-based education practices, Experience-sharing meetings among teachers, Evaluation sessions with project partners, and Informative presentations on the local education system. An international conference was organized by the host school, with educators and experts participating as speakers. Furthermore, participants had the opportunity to examine firsthand the effects of nature-integrated learning environments on children's development.
This mobility process has made significant contributions to the professional development of the participants. Awareness of nature-based learning approaches has increased. New perspectives have been gained on the effective use of outdoor learning environments. Educational practices of different countries have been compared.Innovative teaching methods have been learned. Cultural awareness has increased and international cooperation skills have improved thanks to interactions with participants from Italy, Romania, Portugal, and Türkiye. Participants had the opportunity to get to know Romanian culture closely and learned about cultural values and educational approaches.
